Spokane County Water Resources is involved, with other local agencies, in creating, producing and distributing aquifer information materials such as the Spokane Valley – Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer Atlas and the Aquifer place map. Electronic version of these can be downloaded.

Spokane County Water Resources also cooperates with other local agencies in environmental education programs for young people. The Spokane Youth Environmental Conference is an annual event for Middleaquifer model and High School students to share their environmental projects with their peers. The EnviroKids program provides environmental learning activities for grade school kids to earn points and receive a prize.

Spokane County Water Resources personnel are available for presentations to children and adults about the SVRP Aquifer. Groups can include classrooms, civic organizations, or clubs. Topics can include how aquifers work (using an aquifer model), water quality, water conservation, etc.  For more information contact Reanette Boese at 509-477-7678 or rboese@spokanecounty.org.
