Little Spokane River Tributaries

The Little Spokane River is fed by a series of large and small tributaries. These streams provide habitat and refuge to the fish species in the basin.

A major tributary to the Little Spokane River, Dragoon Creek drains about 113,000 acres in Stevens and Spokane counties in eastern Washington. The stream originates in forested hills in the northern part of the watershed, with the highest point at 4,000 feet in elevation. The creek flows through a broad, pastoral valley, joining the Little Spokane River just south of the town of Chatteroy, Washington at 1638 feet above sea level.

Instream flow studies were conducted on Otter, Dragoon and Deadman Creek, as well as at three points on the main stem of the Little Spokane River during Phase III of the Watershed Planning Process.
